Forget the professional job hopper piece with this guy. All outside hires are that in this day and age. The C-Suite is a revolving door at Ford, and this guy will succumb to this sooner or later.

They brought him in as the hatchet man pure and simple. Think about it, people.

He's going to conclude his "90 day study" soon enough and come back with Ford needing to go through another gargantuan SRD. He'll reference the Tesla model over and over again while continuing to take us down the road of further cost cutting- i.e. the follow on yearly maintenance plan(s). These yearly purges are on the horizon.... Do we really think they're going to task Kumar with this??? The guy can barely hold his head up during his updates. This will help perpetuate the Ford rule through fear and te---r, which is what they've strived to become. But they would deny this, pointing to A+ Pulse scores. Is it only obvious to me?

Note to self: If you're SRD'd out, go straight to an employment law firm (maybe the one handling all the other Ford aged based claims) and don't sign ANYTHING without guidance from a good attorney.

There is no doubt there will be further reductions. Too bad no one at the top level has the integrity to tell the troops. More and more commodities engineering is going south of the border. In the fall of 2018 then VP Jim Holland in a town hall said PD was going to reduce their HC by 25% over the next three years.
The saving grace may have been the cr---y launches the company has had for the past four years.
50% EV by 2030! So what does that say for all the PT Engineers? What all new vehicles are left to work on in the next few years? This new Software guy, you look at his record he is a professional job hopper...
But now that the work on ICE is pretty much now all off the shelf. that puts targets on your backs for the MIBs to drop the hammer. For those who are very close to retirement ride it out as long as you can. but if you see another job take it. The market is good right now.
