Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

How do you find a better option when you don't have many skills?

I'll be honest, I don't have a lot of skills, so I can't be very picky when it comes to looking for a better job. Until I upgrade my skills, I think I can only get something equally bad or worse.

However, I would so much like to find something better. Working at Sam’s has become a big stress for me. All of you already know how exhausting it is to work here.

The company will pay for you to learn a trade, do that then leave!

Upgrade your career opportunities by taking one of the free college courses paid for by Walmart through Guild. That will give you the ability to move up in the company or elsewhere depending what you are looking for.

It is very stressful there. Go elsewhere to build your resume!

Don't under estimate your ability to get a better job. I don't what state you are in, but here in California there are many jobs where they are willing to train people. Good Luck and remember, never stop reaching for that gold ring.

Never stop looking and don't doubt your own worth regardless of what skills you currently possess. You might miss that opportunity where they are willing to provide skills. And places do. Keep looking. My heart goes to you because I understand the defeated feeling.

I don't work at Sam's but I hear you. I'm an older person, working in tech and the way I got into it was to always be looking out for opportunities to learn. Good luck to you!
