Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

I have never wished to get laid off before

I never thought that one day I would actually want to get laid off from my job here, now I do. They want to get rid of people without giving them layoffs and they seem to have a lot of success in that, given that people are leaving en masse. I am glad for these people that they are able to find better opportunities and leave, but on the other hand I am sorry that this company will get away with it. Do you think there will be layoffs at all considering how many people are leaving?

Leave. I did earlier this year. I get paid better, my new company is awesome to work for. Less stress. I actually have a life now instead of just working all the time and being on call 24x7x365. It was the best decision I have ever made. My advice is to get out whenever you can. Don't wait for a layoff or WFR. It isn't worth the continued hassle and stress of working for DXC. I do miss some of my coworkers but overall I am 1000 times happier now. So my advice to anyone who reads this is to start looking and get out of DXC.

Smoking people out... That is bang on! I was aware of several people that got into pools in the UK, had an offer, accepted, but then the axe never fell? Two or three individuals suffered this indignation at least twice.

I left in March after notifying my manager of wanting to leave Dec 20 (honest, but stupid in know) but that manager got me on 'the list'.. then resigned themselves! I somehow fell off 'the list'... So I had to resign as I had another job to go to!

Getting out is the only way to win... Win for yourself that is! The system will rarely be beaten (aside a few lucky one in Central EU with 18 month Garden leave - fact).

Through positive action you can reward yourself, lose a lot of stress etc. You can also pump the attrition rate, stand back and see a clown make a tw-t of himself in front of analysts! He'll go on as a closedown specialist to another org and do it again, so don't get too hung up on what he's doing - look after Jack!

If vinny bagel, Mary f, and mikes were offshored to india we could have an extra 3000 staff in india.

What a game changer that would be.

What are you drinking "Expect severe salary cuts"? There won't be cuts in salary at least not in the US. India they should cut people as most (not all) can't debug there way out of a wet paper bag.

We should also right source the excutive team to India think of the money we can save, they can't do any worse than Mikey1 and Mikey2

No more layoffs! There is no money left to pay severance packages or WFR campaigns.

The new tactic is to smoke you out; they are creative and persistant. Expect severe salary cuts and perk elimination.
