Thread regarding Refinitiv layoffs

Two years here is two too many

It's my second anniversary with Refinitiv this week and trust me when I tell you it hasn't been fun in any way, shape, or form. Maybe I got unlucky, but between an as----e manager who uses fear as a management technique and constant increases in work with no extra pay, I'm starting to regret ever joining. I've never started looking for a new job faster than here.

Note that there is the same core from 10, 15, 20 years ago still here and have been supreme political movers and have focused on that to remain. New joiners who could come from industry, other credible vendors, etc who could have driven the company forward, have been the ones let go during restructuring and expense reduction efforts. What we have is the direct outcome of form over substance and a lack of real management at a number of levels. A damn shame as the business had the seeds of something pretty damn good.

Here is the thing ...

Given how bad the situation is ... projects stopped.

No more users being onboarded ....
If the whole thing does not stink then I dont know ....

Funny reading out the good old TR management. Although they were incompetent and quite useless and trashed this company, they were way better than today's management.

Management by fear - not there under TR ?

It was, and I could name at least 3 that were out of order (2 still there).

Management by fear wasn’t there when it was TR… I guess this madness that came with the new shareholders (Blackstone) has not stopped with LSEG

Refinitiv does a beautiful job at getting rid of that "Great new job Feeling" and replacing it with "What a colossal mistake I've made" feeling. After two years, it only gets worse.
