Now if you don’t get the vax you will be terminated. It is my body my choice. This is wrong in so many ways, specially when you work from home and don’t go to the office.

“ participate in normal society” - we are in a fu----g pandemic. There is nothing normal about society right now.
The moment you surrender your body to participate in normal society you are no longer a free citizen.
Status Quo - the current situation : the way things are now. He's content with the status quo and isn't looking for change.
Is getting a vaccine to help curb a pandemic status quo? Or is ignoring the fact that 1 in 500 people have died and continuing to do exactly what you were doing prior to the pandemic status quo.

I have been working remotely prior to COVID. I'm dont want to get vaccinated. I won't be going in office as my team is mostly all over the U.S. That said to even go in office your manager needs to be there and there is no office for me to go to even if I wanted to. No one is yelling or criticizing the vaccinated. To each their own. So people should stop blaming the unvaccinated. Covid is a virus and what do viruses do like many other things. They evolve. Like the flu evolves every year and changes. I'd rather take my chances. Big pharma were the bad guys and they were oh so horrible when they started the dr-g epidemic but now they can be trusted...seems legit. SMH. And before anyone wants to label me as an anti-vaxxers or conspiracy theorist just know that I only just question the status quo. People need to question a lot of things more. But hey let's just give another reason to separate people. Wake up.
If you don’t want to get vaccinated then quit so they can hire people who are vaccinated…simple!!!

Yes they do have a right to ask you for that. If you don't want to do it then go find a job that doesn't care if you are vaccinated. Good Luck with that.
You have a right to not get the shot. You do NOT have the legal right, constitutional or otherwise, to a job or to violate company policy. Don't be surprised at how little anyone cares about you or remembers you when you are gone.
I had Covid last month and took meds to get over it. Never took a day off and kept working from home. Centene doesn't have the right to ask me or require me to upload my personal information into a database. I may decide to take the shot later or I may not. It's not up to anyone else but me what I decide to do.
Why are you all so willing to give up everything so quickly without asking questions? Why can't you just show your card if you get the shot? Why do they need it uploaded into a database?
Also, someone else mentioned that we have to submit to a dr-g test when hired so they can ask for the vax but I disagree. That is to detect an illegal substance which doesn't fall under the same rules. Additionally, when I was hired they didn't ask me to produce a shot record from when I was in school...so why is it okay to ask me to do that now?
It's not okay. If I choose to get the shot then I can provide a physical card. I don't want you making copies or keeping it online. That's too much.
When is enough a enough? Start pushing back or you'll be forced the rest of your life.
The vaccination is not politics, it is common sense. People who throw the religious angle forget that God made man which also includes scientists, physicians, etc., who create things, such as vaccinations, to HELP us. Duh. I worked in a doctor's office prior to Centene, we had to have all vaccinations to work there- or they would show you the door.

No vax offers 100% effacy. This virus is creating variants because of the unvaccinated. It is not rocket science. Most all on vents, and dying are the unvaccinated. It is a simple concept, get vaccinated.
I'm sorry this is happening. I applaud your conviction. A month ago it was not a requirement, people who did not want the shot could wear masks and do testing, stay 6 ft away from people. Why did it all of a sudden change? For all these people going on about unvaccinated are the problem, you do realize that vaccinated can still catch it, spread it and die from adverse reactions? So what is the point of this "vax" again???
You don't get the vax, you are part of the problem. Don't complain about COVID restrictions as this mutates into different variants. Do your part for those that are too young to get vaccinated. Go Centene!
Many religions have come out to say they are not against the vaccine. For instance Judiasm has come out to say there is no reason that the vaccine is again Kashrut laws so of the exemptions will be reaching. Don't think they haven't look up the information.

I don’t think they will investigate religious or medical exemptions that closely. Not sure they’re allowed to pry too much. Create a few layers of reasonable detail and you’re golden.

Declaring a religious belief will not be enough. Most religions are not against the vaccine. Christian Science is one, but if they look at your claim history then I’m sure you don’t qualify. Also you can’t drink, etc either. So I would get this far fetched idea of using religious beliefs out of your head and just get the shot and stop wasting everyone’s time.
I agree but disagree with the original author. Yes, you work from home but don't you have access to the Centene office? If you wanted to go in, could you? If that's the case then they have a right not to have you exposed to others. And this is coming from someone who has not taken the shot yet.
It will be interesting to see how the religious exemption and medical exemption requests pan out.
I hope Centene knows they are skating around on extremely thin ice. They are opening the door for hundreds or thousands of discrimination lawsuits... because if you submit a religious exemption or medical exemption request and then get fired, you're basically being fired BECAUSE OF your religion or disability that is preventing you from taking this shot- REGARDLESS of reason.
When during modern times has an employer EVER been allowed to dive so much into your personal life?!?!
