Training replacements

Is it possible that people here often don’t want to give the most important details and teach their potential replacements the best they can?????
I understand that there is resentment behind that, but the people who are there as replacements are not to blame for being in that situation. Usually I am but at times I am not at all sorry that some people are laid off.

Though it is stressful to train your replacement especially when they are not retraining you for jobs left in the States. Human nature makes you want to say GFY, but is that fair to that person who you are assigned to tray? Is it their fault? I was put in that position, and really what pi---d me off more than their expectations that I train my offshore replacement, was finding out that they knew when they hired me fulltime that the job would be transferred to India within 9 months of hire. They did not disclose nor did they help me find something in NYC. The management wants you to accept change and be flexible, yet they are not transparent when it comes to your future.

Our managers in the Collateral Underwriting Department were surprised than very few team members volunteered to train our replacements in Manila. Told us we needed to be team players. I told them to GFY

Always leave out certain details and steps for your replacement. Make their life miserable like how your managers have treated you. haha

Whenever I train someone, personally I would just leave out some details / tricks that make my job easier in case they are my replacement. Gotta give them a hard time In case they lay me off haha
