Don't count on your Sam's Club job lasting.

I've been working here for the past eight years and in that time, this company has eliminated many positions. Many farmed out to a third party or loaded onto someone else's plate.

The ones I can remember:
Personnel - Most missed and needed
Cash Office
Wireless
Electronics
Photo
Membership Desk Associates
Jewelry and their lead
Click n Pull - which you brought back under another name, but the originals lost out
Exit Door
Audit
Receiving and their lead, back room lead
Middle management - fired all over the country the same day.
There are others, but I don't recall the job titles

And now,
Membership Lead & Coordinator are gone.

Just like Big Bear, Kmart and the hundreds of stores before you, Sam's Club is slowly on the way down.

Don't count on your job ANYWHERE lasting. Get it while you can whereever you can.

Comp shopper gone also. I don’t know about other clubs. But my clubs signs are not being done or missing all over the floor

Well said, I'm a MTL so I know first hand!

Obsolescence is one of the reasons for those positions going away.

It does not matter if you are the best auditor, accountant or whatever the case may be if you do not have more to offer. Be prepared to slowly fall to the rear or as many say prepare to make yourself into a pet for a manager or team lead whatever your case may be at the time.

Photo was on life support for the most part. Alot of mom and pop shops were slowly closing down because most people were doing photos online or just keeping them digital and purchasing their equipment through websites like Amazon.
