Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Do you work many extra hours for nothing?

I worked many extra hours for nothing because it was important to me to keep this job for a while longer. Work-life balance in my case did not exist for months and I was brought to a complete burnout. Schlumberger makes the most of this fear of people losing their jobs. Well, that was enough, I finally found another opportunity.

If you're salary, comes with the territory, though shouldn't be excessive. If you don't like it, there are help wanted signs at Walmart.

unpaid overtime was a thing for a while, the time back was offered instead, not at a overtime rate of 1.5 tho of course, no, just a straight hour for a hour, and you should be grateful and willing to do that.
quote from a manager during a redundancy consultation meeting was that overtime was not looked at when it come to scoring, but obviously this can work the other when it suits them.
