I'm glad some got a raise. I unfortunately didn't get a raise although I was hoping and trying to get it because I really need it. What I'm wondering is are those who have been given a raise now expected to work even harder? I remember someone telling me that in addition to the raise, he got a lot more work to do as well.

I got 70% raise and 1/3 the workload by resigning joining the client.
I left DXC for an salary increase of 26% + yearly benefits.
I dont know why I didnt left this f_cking company earlier
Goose eggs after HR promised me we’d get a fair shake and the budget for US employees wouldn’t be tied to a people manager in a low cost center. Yeah that was big fat lie. So much for transparency. Seeking employment elsewhere. F this place.
They just announced profits gone up 20% on earnings per share
So the top creamed off 50% plus rises into the millions for the Accenture executives and gave the workers who worked to generate the earnings less than 3% on already underpaid wages.
On top of that the middle management are screwing the staff every way they can, that's the reward/bonus for working hard.
The company motto can be "Totally unjust"
I got just over 1% which is well below inflation. Better than nothing but still an effective pay cut. I'll carry on doing a professional job but won't put in any extra effort.
I have spoken to several people and no one I spoke with received more than a 2% increase. These are highly productive, valuable employees who are now even more pi---d off than before. No one will work harder for this company, people will do less for sure. Another slap in the face by M2.0.
DXC hasn’t benchmarked it’s salaries (and CSC before it hadn’t benchmarked them since 2012) or thereabouts. Even doing that cost money. CSC used to produce 30 pages of salary ranges for each grade in each competency group showing the min, mean and high salaries benchmarked by Gartner, so that managers could identify where their staff fell in relation to their contribution and grade. But it became obvious that there were large gaps between the lowest and highest paid (in the same grade) relative to the individual’s contribution (as some people had been acquired from companies paying the market rate.
The benchmarking showed how unfair the pay gaps were. So they addressed this by stopping pay rises altogether. Those in the upper quartile were paid silly amounts (mostly managers) of which there were about 14 layers. Now the layers have been reduced and the gaps between workers versus those in the top tier is obscene, preferring to award millions to the top tier for poor performance. They do it because they know they can get away with it. Free market economy, shareholders who don’t care as long as they see their dividends and everyone inside the company getting squeezed.
Those that leave DXC generally pick up 7-20% increase at other companies. Agents will aim to get you 5-10 per cent more. But you actually pick up this thing called happiness, job fulfilment and get thanked for the work you do too, which may also be worth something to you.
Raise was 5% and not expected to do more work. However, if I am looking for the same amount next year it would be expected that I put in the same effort as last year.
This company makes good money and could have budget to incentivize employees and expand the company.
Where is all the money going?
Layers of legacy management creating processes and layers off management milking the company off millions.
There needs to be a strategic review, clear 3 layers of unnecessary managers and mk2 you need yourself and the Accenture gang to take a 50% cut, you will still be on millions.
Put the plan into place and use the money to train and motivate employees. When you invest in your main assets the employee you will see returns.
Its only when you leave the DXC and go to work for a proper firm (or just any non-US corp tbh) that you realise how much DXC were scr3wing you. Yeah, its a job. Yeah it pays the mortgage. But I remember it being so damned painful, toxic and depressing. Those last few months of wondering how long can the depleted team last before the next round and it got sillier and sillier to the point where projects and initiatives were just being canned every week.
It better to work in a positive atmosphere with a team, where things are going right, the company is making good profits, new offices opening, expanse plans for new offices in new countries, promotions, bonus, social evenings, raises and were actual work that is interesting, challenging and rewarding.
I used to think that all companies (out there) are feeling the pinch and tightening their belts. But they're not - it may surprise you how well some of the IT firms (or even ICT departments inside firms) are doing. They all seemed to get big budgets last year for cyber, cloud and remote working. Its all kicking off in the IT world and you need to jump now. Honestly!
If you want a real raise, you have to leave. If you are comfortable where you are, don't worry about it.
I was a 1 rank and got a whole 2%. Even the exec I work for said its pitiful.
Yes I got a pay increase of 3.50 % but inflation since my last increase here at DXC was 18%, so I am still in the ho-e. It brought me to the next plateau that I have been trying to reach for a long time.
I would of been happy with the increase if I didn't see the HR Manager getting 5 million dollars and the CEO M2 getting a 50% increase. So no I am not not putting in any extra hours, I get paid for 40 and thats the maximum I'll work.
Play the game the best job is
Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at DXC
Total FY21 Compensation: $5,575,565
And the officer has convinced everyone that she's very busy.
I'm applying for that role as my career progression can't beat $5.5 million as a pay packet.75
Play the game. Step into the 21st century and follow my lead. I do my best to do as little work as possible. But I convince management I’m just too busy to take on any more tasks. They are actually very easy to manipulate; and I usually get a quite decent raise. If you’re stupid enough to “work hard”, then you get all the table scraps you deserve.
I received a small raise but it hasn't changed my view of the company and I won't be offering to do any more work. DXC is dysfunctional and needs to start to properly invest in it's systems and employees if it wants to grow. At the moment the only focus is still cut costs and win deals by running at a loss.
The middle management will sc--w you over in ways/cuts.
So what you get will become negative as they think sc--w ing is more productive than motiving staff, so whichever way they can they will.
Then they can have the rewards, but it doesn't work that way as screwed workforce isn't an asset.
So either they change their ways or the company sinks.
They need to chop the lawrie era middle management.
