Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Never seen such incompetence

Have you ever worked in a company that had more incompetent leadership? I have not. And I worked in several companies before I came here. How can anyone believe that better days will come here, when we are led by such incompetent people? It would be a miracle to change something for the better here.

"it goes over the L3 backbone that is now in all the offices"

this is simply not true, sure L3 may have brought in fiber in some offices, but not even close to all

"Why keep Florida when it is so far away from all the other locations unless there is a plan separate from the Network"

because L3 has a big presence there, duh, he's not going to let that go to Apollo

He still gets money from it, it goes over the L3 backbone that is now in all the offices to get Data in and Out of the area. He stated he will maintain a CLEC presence. I wonder what the deal for their Site fees will be, cheap, really cheap I wager, they are taking 25c of business for every dollar and paying almost nothing to get it I am thinking, Apollo will have all the maintenance now and Labor costs for the most part also. Even 10c is almost pure profit with little investment in those areas going forward.

Just a Hunch, I expect the other States to be slated for a similar situation once they find a Buyer that will agree to terms. This way Florida and Storey's new Complex there for his Executives and IT people will be paid for in cash. Should be just about done by the end of 2022. Why keep Florida when it is so far away from all the other locations unless there is a plan separate from the Network.

Question. How does everyone feel about the sale? It appears to me that Jeff Storey (worlds worst CEO) basically ra--d & pillaged all fiber from CTL & then sold us off. It looks like we won’t even hold onto our residential fiber systems.
What’s messed up is the fact that we can sale Quantum fiber, but can’t offer CTL fiber anymore. I’m hard pressed to believe this wasn’t done out of spite.

The "hanger ons" keep the knowledge to themselves and let the newcomers "sink or swim". Riding to their supposed "retirement".

The gigs up for this company. They cut a bit too deep on the cuts and nobody wants to work for these bozos. Why work for a company that treats their employees like garbage? No thanks! The Executives have to be the worst leaders ever! They don’t lead they just destroy! Clueless!
