Whoever manages to overcome the fear of a new beginning will leave this and get a much better opportunity. My friend did not procrastinate, he accepted the first good alternative and now he is doing really well while I'm still in a dilemma. I don't even know why I'm afraid of new beginnings. I wish I knew what people are really afraid of so they decide to remain here?

Mikey and the Hr lady are up sheets creak with them 50% salay hikes and only giving 3% to staff. Looks like there's a hiring bo-m out there so they will need to pay another mid year pay rise to keep staff.
Employers are throwing money at new hires in a bid to attract talent in a tight labour market.
KPMG and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) said on Friday that their survey of the UK jobs market found companies were upping pay at record levels in a desperate hunt for staff. Average starting salaries jumped by the most in 24-year history, according to the quarterly report.
"Employers are desperate to find good candidates for the many jobs on offer and this is reflected in starting salaries rising at the sharpest rate since the survey began in 1997."
The data backs up anecdotal evidence of salary increases across the economy. Law firms in London have been rapidly hiking pay for junior staff in a bid to lure recruits.

Worst company EVER. M2 is worst than M1 as he lies right too your face. Yes I received my 1st increase (3.5% in 7+ years, but no way does it make up for the loss in purchasing power from inflation (18+ % in my area). Mikey2 got a 50% increase and the HR VP is getting 5 million dollars, so its not that DXC can't afford it
I am 3 years to retirement , so I haven't left yet, why should I as I don't do much work and still get paid. BUT will NEVER work more than 40 hours again for this company, they can take this job and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.
Depending on your situation, and how long a person has been with DXC (EDS, HP, CSC, etc), it can be intimidating to think about leaving. However, one might consider starting some casual looking around, and interviewing, outside the company.
You can have an external job interview, and you don't have to jump ship if you get cold feet. But at least then you start to see what the options are. That's what I did, and I'm much happier in my new post-DXC career.
We have 24 hours in a day
Sleep 8
Work 8
Leaves 8
As bad as it might/could be my work does not define my identity as a person and I leave work at work
I use my other time wisely and develop myself as a person how I want
Go to Accenture/ elsewhere we are all wage slaves and will all be exploited, but I don’t complain when I’m picking out what to spend my next pay check on
Believe me working in retail was harder than this
