Cryptic, sarcastic, paranoid, speculative, does anyone honestly know if whatever "it's" (WFR, RIF, REORG,GTM3.0) called is either happening now or really soon? Most of us checking here seriously wanna know- for realz! ..and hopefully will a whole swarm of recruiters who'll hope to swoop in and gather up the "experienced" aka over 45-ish workers that are likely impacted first. No one has anything to offer that I can validate but its feeling like we better buckle-up. Sadly, I'm feeling the warning vibe but I'm not financially for a storm. If anyone knows if my nerves are accurate please share what you can along with an idea of any separation that may be offered? Last time JC vomited a warning to the stratosphere but I don't think that was supposed to happen then and don't expect it now!

jobs are remote now so opportunity abound.
Apparently, Dell is losing so many people to other companies that the usual layoffs were not so usual, i.e. they can't afford to layoff anyone when they have to backfill all the people that are leaving.
this reorg has been on the cards forever, 5 years + . . so far not one layoff in the internal merger and plenty of happy faces
Post from TheLayoff.com
I'm 58, WFR'd by Dell now in a new role, pension fund of over $1.4m, no loans or mortgage, I just like the challenge of work and the human contact.
Hearing some of the channel reps are being demoted to AE1 level taking 50% OTC cut
I received my news yesterday, includes separation package. Good luck to the rest of you.
guess it was fake news
Dell is always Hiring Because they are always Firing.
Kinda like 7-11, Jack in the Box, and many more.
@3waq+1c4iuLPA FAKE NEWS.
reorg in US be announced on Monday - but that is not a layoff
If you invest properly you can take advantage of the rule of 55 if you work past that you people royally screwed up in life.
So for those that make vague comments about what they know regarding layoffs, shame on you. Share what you know or stop sharing. Not funny. These are peoples livelihoods. Not a joke. Never be flippant.
Dell is a huge company. I hope those that are laid off find an internal job. If you haven't reached out to your network of internal folks then I wish you well. Again, good luck!
I was with Dell for 21+ years and I've been through this exercise more times than I care to remember. Finally, at 59 years old, I had enough and I left 3 months ago because I knew (100% sure) this day was coming. When I left the skies opened up, and there was a rainbow. There is a great life outside of Dell. There is no doubt in my mind that I'm going to get at least a dozen phone calls tomorrow for people looking to make a change.
Again, I wish everyone the best of luck!
layoffs in sales isn't really a layoff....it's just a bad salesman.
Just found out that all notices will happen Monday the 2nd for SPS when I received my 30min meeting invite.
Yes, calls staring to go out Monday August 2nd.....at least in sales/pre-sales orgs.
fake news
It is wrong that employees at Dell are constantly worried about being laid off.
