Is starting out as a conductor remotely safe? What are the odds of getting laid off? I figured it’s at least not like mechanical where they shut down your location and that’s it no call backs ever. At least in T&E you will EVENTUALLY be called back if you get cut. I doubt I will ever be recalled in mechanical. We were always told any time the economy goes down conductors were the first to be cut. That has pretty much held true until PSR and mechanical got destroyed. Just considering my options.

When they start to tell you how great things are going RUN!!! I've never heard of management telling the truth!!!!
It’s not a matter of IF but WHEN conductors will be disposed of as one man crews come to light. It will happen. It fits right into the PSR agenda
First ones to get hired and first ones to be let go
NO One is Safe yah takes yer chances!!!!!
