I wanted to know what the probability is, that the next round of Layoffs will occur in either August or September. Since the company posted a $535 million dollar loss in Q2, how do all of you think this will play out and when the possibility of layoffs will occur. Thank you.

I would LOVE to be laid off.
We've been training the WC staff to do our jobs. 2 of our leaders have transferred to different departments. Is the writing on the wall?
I wonder if the company will hold off on layoffs to see who will leave or be asked to leave due to not vaccinated.
I seems silly to do a layoff until they know that information.
Now i hear more layoffs into October? Someone has to know something!
It's September! Any updates on incoming layoffs? I've seen a few who have disappeared here and there in the last month.
Imagine getting poked in your a$$ to keep a job, to only then turn around, to be kicked in it.
I can confirm with 100% confidence that small scale layoffs are happening right now. It’s possible MDM doesn’t want bad press from a large layoff after posting a Q2 loss, so doing small batches might work.
My guess is that OHIO Medicaid Business is lost for the next two years. As Humana and others ramp up their Medicaid business to match the number of lives they have with Medicare, we will see more and more states move away from Centene resulting in low revenue growth and missed earnings YOY. Hope this is not the case but you cannot grow by acquisition without hard losses.
So if settlements are completed in those states, example ohio payout of 88 million to settle, what is likely the outcome for contracts pending. Thoughts? Wouldn't we know something by now and if lay offs are coming do they give a warning?
Unfortunately, layoffs are a fact of life now. There is no loyalty, and you should have no loyalty either.
A proft was made. However due to lawsuit settlements and setting aside reserves for future potential lawsuits a loss was reported. The only potential for layoffs are if contracts are not renewed in the states with a lawsuit againstoverselling. Pharmacy overbilling.
