Whoever I talk to, everyone can’t wait to get laid off. Everyone is sick of Pembina. The situation is really bad and it is devastating how many people have lost hope that it is possible to save their job with hard work.

I actually feel sorry for the person who would jump off a cliff if MD told him to. Where is your dignity? I imagine you don't have much of a home life or friends and the only thing you have going for you is employment. You and everyone else at this company is replaceable. So, if you think your unrealistic dedication is normal, you need the reality check - not everyone else. This is cultish behaviour and you have clearly had your fair share of the kool-aid. Try a refreshing glass of water to dilute your nonsense.
One thing is very clear however, and that is mental health at Pembina is an after thought at best. It has never been taken seriously and not sure it ever will while old white guys run the show and while the cultish behaviour continues.
Also for anyone looking to join Pembina, know that if you are not loud and brash, your chances of climbing the managerial ladder will be non-existent - a technical ladder does not exist so for anyone who doesn't want to manage people. If your skill set is technical, your career gains are very minimal and the bonus structure rewards the managers, not the people doing the actual work.

Healthy anxiety… an oxymoron.
Some of you people need a reality check and realize that Pembina isn't an employer for everyone. You need to be strong, resilient, and willing to postpone personal commitments to put our company efforts first. This is well known. If you can't handle the unpaid overtime, this company isn't for you. If you can't handle being "on call" and potentially miss family events, this company isn't for you. If you want to work an 8-5, this company isn't for you. If you can't leave the office to pick up your children from their dayhome or daycare to finish your efforts, this company isn't for you. If there is a critical business event or date, time your pregnancy or wedding, family event to not coincide with it. If you can't handle that, this company isn't for you. Period. Work life balance doesn't exist. It takes dedicated people who live and breathe this company to make it run. Listening to some of you whine while we put in the hours and miss personal events for Pembina makes me sad. Suck it up kids.
