Only thing I see in Intel’s future is accelerated pace to layoffs.

Renaming process nodes is essentially a public admission of succumbing to failure and having to submit to having lost.

The presentation reminds me of every presentation of the past four years. PowerPoints with no data or relevant plans but promises upon promises that have been later followed up with delay after delay!

Sorry he did not say anything material about what he has changed. All the big words are empty and Intel has had no credibility for the past five years. Pat’s promises are as empty as his predecessors.

  • Instead of renaming 10nm to 7nm, Intel should rename 10nm to 3nm to recapture the process lead.
