Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

How long have you been looking for a job?

I don't intend to wait for them to show me the door. The situation here is getting worse and worse and looking for a new job is an absolute priority.

However, I am a bit disappointed because in two months I received only one offer which was not acceptable. I know it takes a lot of patience and perseverance to find a new job, but I'm already a little worried.

Stay the course. When they start saying that this is the "Final VSPP" that is code for better buyouts await the final few. They have recently enhanced some offers with STLA instead of a buyout. We've been repeatedly told that this is the final VSPP only to see them again in a month or two.

Ha I’m not looking for a new job yet. My suggestion, take it for what it’s worth. Take some classes to make yourself more marketable. If you’re Union talk to them about classes. If not talk to your manager.
