I was laid off six months ago. I still can't find a new job. Do you have any idea what I'd give to trade places with any of you? If things are so bad for you, then go ahead and quit! If more people had the courage of their convictions and did something about their position maybe they wouldn't need to lay off as many people and I might still be employed.

Apply again! Hiring a lot of people back .
The OP is a troll.. just posting nonsense to get people riled up. There seems to be a few of these fools posting on here. They probably don't and never have worked for Allstate. GTFO here and stop trying to antagonize people suffering under the Allstate flag fools.
I'm not sure where you live but there is a labor shortage nationwide! I actually have a second job (not allstate) that I quit last month and applied to 10 places and 9 called me for an interview within a week! It's better just to get something until you find something better
We are all victims of Allstate’s miscalculations in staffing claims and distorted transformative growth plans that went up in smoke. If you’re in claims they’ll hire you back ASAP ! I know 3 people who are now back . Even people from other depths be transferred into claims to avoid being laid off. It’s so far behind in claims that they’ll take anybody.
There is a labor shortage at the moment. If you can't find a job right now, you're either being too picky, or doing something very wrong.
Six months ago? So they did layoffs in January? Wow. They’ve been doing stealth layoffs all along. Wonder what the total toll is now. I know the 3,800 number from 2020. But if they’ve been laying off since January, must be much higher at this point.
Maybe you are doing something wrong if you cannot find a job or you live in a rural area where there are only a few businesses. I travel alot and all I see are help wanted signs. You can find you a job I'm sure but I'm guessing those jobs available are "beneath you" and unemployment is better. I also have read ppl on here reapplying for their old position or working a new one with Allstate. Why don't you do that if you're desperate?
Replace Scrooge with Allstate. Now think how your comment would be received by Cratchit. His hard work wasn’t appreciated, barely put food on the table, and couldn’t afford medical care for his children. It’s literally becoming that way at Allstate.
I don’t think having an employer which is motivated by greed and selfishness, micro manages everything the employee does, to the point where it’s now down to the minute because of Kronos, and forces everyone to forego a week of pay last year, does anything but hurt others. Many couldn’t afford a week of pay stolen from them so had to take out loans to continue working at Allstate—all because of Allstate’s miserliness.
It’s because the job market is so awful that Allstate is taking advantage of it and their employees as they know many of us can’t yet leave.
I’m glad I am not on the street but the only thing that keeps Allstate in check are laws that won’t allow them to abuse their employees as badly as Scrooge. I’m not grateful to have to have a job—until I am in a position to leave—to work for that kind of employer. I’m planning to be out of here early next year.
