Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I'm mid-career, got about another 20 years before retirement age eligible.

I met with a financial advisor, step one, dump T stocks. I couldn't careless about how many DTV/WM/Discovery in stock conversion.

Just because you work here, you don't have invest your retirement with these executive mo--ns.

I thought each T share gets you 70% of a discovery+ share after the transfer.

DTV is going to private equity… no share.
The valuation of new company has not been determined yet, so number of shares is not determined.

I believe with the merger of the Warner group and the Discovery company there will be a new stock issued that doesn’t have any company name associated with it yet. Dividends from the new company are an open question. I don’t believe Discovery currently pays a dividend.

Grumpy whiners don't want to hear about investors making money on AT&T stocks. They just want others to be miserable like they are.

OP here, don't assume I have poor choices when it comes to investing, he-l I ain't complaining. I've actually done quite well investing. My three questions stand, if you don't know the answer, just admit it or don't bother commenting.

A 7% dividend is pretty hearty and that’s for each share of T stock you own, that’s pretty damn good! You obviously are clueless when it comes to investing! It might be time to divest yourself of the stock before it reduces its dividend, but even at 3 1/2 %, it’s still not bad!

After everything that this management team has screwed up, including the dividend, why would anyone still be invested in T?

I'm sorry but I can't help someone who makes such poor decisions with their money.
