Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Trying to keep the job

is it in vain? There are a lot of those who want layoff and a package, but unfortunately I have to try to keep the job here because my life situation is complicated. I’m trying to get an offer somewhere else, but to no avail, so all I have left is to try to somehow stay here for a while longer.
How do you even try that? Hard work is not a recipe, dedication is also not, loyalty is not...

3bvt+1bwKff5y, right!
They hit a handful of posts with that same stank attitude! I would wonder what had their pa----s in a twist, but knowing where they work I have an idea.

Original poster, all you can do is keep up with your work and try your best. If you work in a metrics environment, get your numbers! Another good rule is "don't make it hard on them", if they ask you to do a project, do it with as little complaint and guidance as needed. If you know before you even start what they are asking for is impossible, don't tell them why it can't be done, get some of it done and then they show the barriers.

With all this said, don't go overboard ki----g yourself. Take your breaks, speak up for yourself and your team as needed.

There are so many different factors on who gets laid off and many of them out of your control. The one thing you can control is how you handle this whole situation. Stay calm, do your best, and be a team player. And remember the only way to do those things is to take care of yourself and believe in your worth!

Plus, if in the end, it doesn't work and you are laid off, you'll have confidence that it wasn't because you gave up or let fear take over. You'll still have your confidence intact (although bruised) and that confidence will go al ong way in finding the next job.

Good luck! Stay strong!

Sounds like someone from HR is trying to stop people for talking. Everyone has a right to speak their mind. Keep doing you!

Stop complaining, stop coming to this site as if it's facebook or some other social site - no one cares. We all are in the same boat as are many other people from other companies. It's called LIFE!!! Get over it. Either quit or not and wait for severance. Stop this mental masturbation everyone! That's all you're doing - not helpful.
