Training academy?

I get laid off this week and then I get this from indeed, out of my area. Lay me off but having a boot camp..

Oh cool, you get to dig it out. I get to find it in the air, tow a trailer out, cut it down, splice it, pray it's only broke in one place. Oh yeah, and call the govt, Comcast and Verizon every half hour with an update cause all their high priority cr-p is down and all the cell towers are down. For $12-26hr. Yeah.

Ha ! 12 an hour, it is 1 AM here is your OTDR get to the warehouse pick up a splice case, now go find where the fiber was cut dig it out by hand, splice it, test it roll fiber jumpers, and you are on the clock, you have exactly two hours, oh and by the is cut somewhere in the middle of nowhere about 150 from here we think ...

There have been training classes in the northwest and Midwest for over six months. Salary range is correct. Word is all the techs that are left are going to be offered $26hr or the door in two more months

They have been doing this on the National side and these so called "Trained Techs" last about a month before they smell the scam of it all.

Good! Let them train the cheap labor and get what they pay for. The new guys won’t put up with the corporate BS that they will be put through, and just quit. It will become a revolving door job.

Title of central office tech or network technician starts at $12 per hour an tops out at $23 per hour. Doesn't matter if its national or consumer side of the house either.
