Actually, not all lead counsel... only the redundant ones. Many will be redundant now that they have decided that they can have a paralegal manage the support staff.
I question whether it will be so easy for lead counsel to find jobs. Most other companies expect counsel to actually be working attorneys. Lead counsel haven’t been actually working as attorneys. Good luck with that.
Unlike the as-----s posting here, if lead counsel are cut, they'll be fine and in a new role in no time.
While the posters will still be here being miserable people and some of them unemployed with no marketable skills.
Lead Counsel position is not needed and the higher management has realized it in implementing a cost cutting strategy. They are going back to Lead counsel only managing attorneys and not staff which cuts the need for Lead counsel jobs drastically. No one feels bad.
Redundant and not valid ! Gottaa love the way Allstate uses the corporate psychology to mindfuck everybody by putting them down saying that they’re not valid that they’re redundant only to be replaced with low cost people from India and artificial intelligence you’re a redundant invalid employee you are sh-t to them they don’t care the plan is to get rid of all of you. Every high paid redundant invalid person that’s how they want the business to be done very few people looks like a few layers of VPs need to go bye-bye as well
To the poster that said they have nothing to do with us getting layoffs you are wrong. They are the ones who do your PR and that it what the layoff was based on. Wake up minion.
Completely agree with OP. Our lead counsel in my office are PITIFUL. They do as little as possible, are unresponsive, and treat people as though they are beneath them. I personally do not feel bad that they have to do these assessments and be put through the ringer like we did. Maybe they can come off their high horses. Maybe that is why my office has had FOUR attorneys quit in the last 4 months.
The Lead Counsels are better leaders than they have in corporate. Don't crow about them being on the chopping block ....it will probably be you next. I dread the thought of losing ours and what could come next.
OP, you are rude. I don’t know where you work, but in my office, the lead counsel work hard. They have families and mortgages just like us. They had nothing whatsoever to do with any of the layoff decisions or the assessments. You need to check yourself.
Are lead counsel so bad to deserve this? I know leadership in corporate is awful. But always thought sco leaders seemed better.
