I hear there are cuts everywhere. Judging by the tense atmosphere, I wouldn't be surprised if I was informed very soon that they don't need me anymore.
So I'm wondering what are the typical packages? How generous are they? I don’t even know if there have been any changes to the severance policy lately.

Depends where you are and when you joined uk is 1 month per year for people joining in the last 10 years, for those on old Reuters contracts it is more.
