Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

How safe are our benefits?

Let's be honest, the only thing that I can say is good about Allstate right now are the benefits we're getting. Which, of course, makes me worry that they'll find a way to mess with them sometime soon. What are the chances of that happening and us losing some of our current benefits?

What makes you think our benefits are good? Because of the pto? Or is it the high deductible plan for health? Compared with other companies our benefits are not the best except for pto but that has changed as they used to give you all the days upfront and now you have to accrue pto?

Our benefits are not good at Allstate if you have been around the block. They are actually the worst I have had but got a pay increase which was worth it to me. Labor markets are tight so I don’t expect them to give away too much here. If the benefits are keeping you here...start looking!!!

If corporate tax rates get raised, say bye bye to the offset. We will pay full price for insurance.

Kiss your benefits goodbye in the next coming year or so.

I wonder what will happen to "choice bucks" if POTUS increases corporate taxes. Benefits for family members have already been impacted significantly over the last several years.
