All the reorgs can’t fix the fundamental problem, Intel’s not competitive and IDM2.0 sounds tasty Intel doesn’t have any of the things needed to make or successful.
Maybe 10 years ago if Bill Holt really was serious about ICF, now forget it. Wishing and saying they would like a strong Intel or domestic supplier ain’t going to make it happen anymore than GF pretended it could play at the leading edge four years ago.

@1myo+1bswTFIE Are you cognitively impaired? Remember a company like VIA used to make CPUs but now they haven't completely disappeared off the face of the planet but they're very much DONE. If Intel ends up like VIA, you still wouldn't classify that as being "done"? Would you set the bar so low as to have Intel go bankrupt because you have so pathetically little escape room left to wiggle and worm your way to?
Clients do not want to get shafted each year with exponentially rising high-end datacenter part costs.
@1gog+1bswTFIE well, that's a different matter, but they're not totally DONE as is being pushed around here. Many would say Intel stopped being the industry leader years ago, but that's not really the concept that 'done' is referring to.
