All credible sources pointing a significant layoff event this week as we align forces with Indigo and figure out how to hold on to cash during this hemorrhage. This will align well with our new theme for the year - “do more with less”…. Directors are encouraged to be innovative, and this will be discussed more at the Directors and higher management retreat in Maui next week. Thoughts and prayers to the families affected by this downsizing event! Tough scene on Energy Drive this week. Hate to see it.

Did any one else get laid off this week?
Just got laid off. What the…. I don’t get it. I didn’t seen that coming. Was asked to come to a meeting at the field office. Hopefully there is more work out there. I have been sponsoring my wife’s overeaters anonymous class and was looking forward to her finishing that. Not sure I can afford it now.
So any guesses on who clogged the toilet in the men’s room on 5 this morning? Maybe the guy with the cheezy fake white teeth smile, like he just cheated on you with your husband? Yep, that’s who.
I seent a news articles from years ago where southwest gave its employees LNG cars. Are they doing that again. I like my Chevy Volt and all where I can get a CNG car it will save my job and stuff.
I’m glad I’m settling into my career at Southwest. I know this will be my forever job. I haul E&P waste for Southwest in PA to the landfill. One question I was afraid to ask, but is there an employee benefit for Prius owners, you know, to incentivize living green, such as free electricity charging, etc? The world we live in is globally warming and I want to so my part.

No layoffs today either! Predicting a Thursday layoff as consistent with the previous 9 or so layoffs. There may have been a Tuesday or two sprinkled in.

I knew Monday we’d be safe because I’ve never heard of layoffs happening on a Monday. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are the hotspots. If I had to guess, it’ll be Thursday. What does everyone else think?
