Hiring SWEs at BTC Bengaluru

All of a sudden what's all the fuss about hiring software engineers and others roles at BTC in Bengaluru? LinkedIn is lit up with a bunch of local managers, supervisors, and employees posting a flyer on LinkedIn that says they are hiring software engineers and to come work for a company that allows them to work with cutting-edge technology. I am EMIT and when I saw that I was like cutting-edge? What cutting-edge technology we use here. And even if we did what true power or real empowerment is allowed to creative software engineers and developers to even upgrade our old and legacy systems. So BTC folks in Bengaluru please tell us honestly, did the HR, PR, or your local management team provided you all this cutting-edge flyer to post on linked in? If yes, and if you posted it accordingly does that make you XOM koolaid drinker?

Rumor has it that FileSweeper V2 is ramping up. It is Darren's top priority at the moment.

hiring is going up in Banglaore because XOM does not want to pay for any developers in the US or other high cost countries. Simple as that....

I will disagree with working on cutting-edge stuff. The majority of the software is commercial grade that is heavily limited or throttled due to the perceived security limitations from with ExxonMobil. ExxonMobil see's EMIT as a support service and farms out the majority of any development we do to lowest cost bidders; this is a big reason why I left. You will have an eye-opening experience on cutting edge if you ever move to a tech Company & are truly a developer or scientist.

You must work in the SAP space. Contrary to popular belief, us non-SAP SWEs in EMIT actually do work with some pretty modern stuff.
