chlumberger mostly laid off completely wrong people. They showed the door to people who now excel in other companies, and here they kept mostly mediocrities and bullies.
Considering how capable and engaged people this company once had, they could've done great things, but no... this company decided to give them to companies that will know how to make the most of them.

Don’t agree with this, I recently left SLB (got an offer elsewhere) and looking back the only members on the teams who made it through layoffs were high performance candidates. This was true for 3 rounds of layoffs on 3 different teams I was apart of. Mediocrity is not tolerated especially in ops. It’s effectively a bottom 25% cut for teams when layoffs hit.
