Thread regarding Hitachi Vantara layoffs

99 problems and nepotism is certainly one of them

I am absolutely not surprised that everyone who has talent and skillset is leaving here in droves. Nepotism seems to have never been a bigger problem? I’ve been here a long time and there’s always been nepotism, let's not fool ourselves, but now it seems to me on the rise. If I end up leaving here for any reason, this is going to be it.

I think the proper word for H(G)V(L) is Cronyism

41% of workers globally are thinking about handing in their notice, according to a new Microsoft survey. This number is probably higher at GV.

More cognizant people on the way. Suspect they will lay off legacy Hitachi solutions and services people still remaining and replace with GL and C people in the coming months.

Hearing that GL folks will also be let go at the top levels as they consolidate the solutions parts under RL. Good luck my GL friends

if you think HV is that bad, you have had a pampered life. Go work in retail and drive to work.

Nepotism?? Who in their right mind bring in a loved one into this doomed company??? HV is such a mess that any person that got hired by friends or family is a big time loser.

I don't think you know what nepotism really means.

And to add on this. A VERY large portion of employees will not admit to this due to pride. Likely more than you are aware.

Same. But unfortunately I think this is industry spread. many I know who got new jobs, did so with nepotism with other companies. Employee-management level.
