Since Encompass employees make more than Nat Gen ones, does that mean most if not all Encompass employees will be let go during the next RIF? Nat Gen is doing so much hiring and I'm sure at lower salaries which is what Allstate wants. Why is Allstate so mean to their employees???

Wow, I don't find myself defending ALL very often, but....ALL purchased NatGen because they do it better than ALL, not the other way around. Why would ALL keep anyone associated with the independent market on the books who is a legacy employee? ALL is awful in the independent space...and they know it. The only way ALL survives as an entity is to figure out the AI and independent channel, their is a reason Progressive and Geico write more business and have probably 50% less employees or more. Omni channel insurance distribution is quickly on its way out, one does not need to be clairvoyant, it is happening today.

Because they can. Their conscious is poorly formed and underdeveloped Basically they are unfeeling and only care about themselves and the stock price.
