Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Early Career Employees

Early career employees will leave the company as soon as they vest in their 401k/Pension.

There is literally no incentive to stay beyond 3/5 years with the way things are looking.

@3xuy+1bmxQ25Q, sure thing
Recent hires vest in the company match portion of their 401K on their 3 year anniversary. They vest in the pension at 5 years.

If you resign before these points, you effectively lose out on the cash plus earnings from your company match.

Hearing something similar out of the spring campus, lots of new hires see the writing on the wall

purely anecdotal, but watch out for vest dates this summer/fall.

I know a lot of BTCX folks looking to leave as soon as they vest.
