Most likely the same end result, whether it happens or not.
We have already been servicing Lexmark for a few weeks and so far it's a shitshow. Hard to believe Xerox isn't losing money on this 'opportunity.'

the market needs consolidating, too many manufacturers chasing less and less customers, xerox will service anything (for a price) Uk does some HP and ricoh.

For many years, Xerox was arrogant and looked down upon servicing anything other than Xerox machines. But with revenue in a steep decline, the C-Suite is willing to do whatever they can to make money. If they could, Xerox would service washing machines to make money.
Well we are taking over Lexmark service and delivery of new equipment so that's a plus in our favour that we would come out ontop of a merger.
I noticed on the xerox homepage it said we had the best Q1 market share in over 3 years. Maybe things are not bad after all.
I've heard speculations on something with Lexmark for 6+ months. So far it seems there is only a service partnership and a financing deal, but nothing in the way of a merger, buyout or equipment supplier.

Most xerox techs and core techs have already been full lexmark trained already this year. We have been doing lexmark outsourced calls for o er a month now

More info? I know at xbs they’ve been talking about us helping Lexmark with installs, but I haven’t heard anything new in months. I figured that plan had stalled. We started hearing about that at the end of 2020…
