Damage Control

It’s time to wake up people…all of these panels/meetings the company is holding are an attempt at damage control.

The company realizes those who are leaving now (mid performance review cycle) are the sharp ones that can read the tea leaves. They are losing top talent and will be left with mid to low tier performers if they don’t act quick.

If you haven’t polished your resume, you’re late. Time to start.

Left 6 months ago. Accepted a job with more pay, quarterly bonus pay, excellent insurance with a HSA, 100% work from home, unlimited paid time off (don't abuse it) stock options at discount and several other benefits. But above all, top notch team work! No BS, no blaming others, help when you need it without an attitude, no arrogance, no-one dumping their work off on me, immediate supervisor that checks to make sure you are doing okay or need assistance. I enjoy working. I wish all of you, that really want out of your current job, find a company that makes you want to get up, go to work and give it your all. Keep looking, there are companies out there that are looking for great employees and they treat you right, as do your co-workers. Best of luck to all of you!

You crazy if you think “top” talent didn’t walk out the door 6-8 months ago. What your looking at now are people who were left to pick up the pieces and are starting to realize the same things top talent realized a year ago lol

Lump sum pension payout is now an option if you aren't a retiree. Once you realize they have your pension invested in low yield bonds and an aggressive investment strategy can make you more money than your final pension estimates in some cases, bye bye golden hand cuffs.

@1fao+1bmDQIZF What is the change in the pension policy? Haven’t seen anything yet for US. Is it confirmed or still a rumor?

Company has no need for damage control and is being run exactly like they want it. It will get worse not better every day until they achieve their desired employee number either through attrition or PIP. They do not care by which method as both are low cost and they prefer that the high cost talent leaves first. Yes, they are that nasty. No 401k, no COLA, pension going away as is retiree health, no severance just PIP, adjusted the performance assessment to drop us in one fell swoop to the bottom in one cycle, no transparency, lying/mean managers, off shoring jobs, waste of time forums, endless reorganizations, Executives and above receive RSUs equal to their annual salaries. Woods and his crony VPs have destroyed this once great company and it is not going to come back to former form as the talent and it is MOJO is now gone. Kicked out of the DOW, credit downgraded three times, borrowed $75 billion since 2017 to pay dividend, Value Added Chain and Lean Into Strategy are dead, lost 3 board members, Kearl and Permian washed up, Brazil overspend, refineries falling apart, no CAPEX, lean OPEX, on and on, will take 5 years to get out from under debt. The only strategy we have now is the Woods and Clown 🤡 Crony Company Net Worth Strategy: spend no money, harvest the assets, keep stock price up, pay ourselves bonuses an salary raises and RSUs and retire wealthy, to he-l with the rest of us. Woods net worth YE21 100 million dollars. God bless you All and leave now for better grounds if you can.

Totally agree this is what the company wants. They are even encouraging us to leave by changing the pension policy. If that isn’t a signal I don’t know what is.

We are already showing signs that we don’t know what we are doing or understand who is responsible for efforts. As more and more people leave it will only get harder for those who remain.

The top Talent left over 6 months ago...I guess the next best thing is still there... That will always be the case.
