Centurylink has always been left in the tracks of our more successful competitors. I can remember US West sending managers to spend time with Bell south management in an attempt to close the gap. Whether it was selling our wireless unit to stave off bankruptcy or Glenn Post investing heavily in set top boxes for television when it was clear that streaming was the future, we have a history riddled with one bad decision after another.
We finally found our sector to shine in and even the biggest of competitors wait to see if our latest antics are successful and not met with regulatory sanctions. Yes we have become the testing grounds for violating labor contracts, eliminating workforce through hostile tactics and creating a work environment that is designed to test the mental faculties of even the strongest individuals. Tampering with benefits and pay, productivity standards that are only reachable by manipulating the system at the customer's expense and even changing technician's productivity numbers. Randomly saying that the rehab budget is gone 1/2 way through the year when they have blocked all rehab funding all along and trying to force techs to code time to work that satisfies governmental grants when nothing has been done. Sadly, none of this is designed to make the company profitable or a long term player in any industry It is to align the company with the unproven vision of leadership even if it means complete destruction of the core company. All you can do is laugh and keep showing up.

Yes, excellent post , its a number and legal loophole game.
That’s all this company does is make bad decision after bad decision. The problem isn’t the workers! The problem is the executives and leadership! They honestly don’t know what they are doing! Wall Street knows this and that’s what is keeping this stock down. I mean really? What mo--n puts a company this far into debt and expects success?! The numbers just don’t add up and it’s impossible to forget! Greed!
Totally agree!
You can add cameras in technicians trucks to that list too but you couldn’t have described it any better.
