Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Ungrateful company

Last day is June 30th, what a big slap in the face after working through the pandemic, making sure people had service so they could work at home, risking my health plus my family's for a big FU GOOD BYE

All the union contact has the layoff clause in it. Read it for all the information you need. The union is why you get 9” days and not two weeks and no severance. If you don’t like union try management and see what you can get on your own merit. Good luck everyone with Lemon-Link. This company will continue to shrink until it is purchased by AT$T or Verizon

Union, twenty years. Regardless what everyone thinks, the union does nothing for you when it comes to them getting rid of you, except take credit for getting you a great pkg.

"My last day Is Friday. I worried last year when they laid off because I was a low performer at the time, even though I did the most work in our group. I made it. This time my numbers are great but I get cut over guys with half the service. One that I work with directly does nothing but knows how to play the numbers, and he stays. Makes no sense. What a cr-p company. Why would anyone want to work here."

union or non? how many years do you have?

Bottom lines is that the employees worked thru last year. Putting there lives at risk for being essential workers. The employees kept Century Link afloat, and now Century Link is laying off 500 people. They got no hazardous duty compensation. Our country is being ruined by corporate greed. So plain and simple. The federal government and all states that Have Century Link should take away ALL contracts. No Rewards for Traitors....

If they fail to value employees, then why stay? Get out of your comfort zone as you don’t matter to them! The more money you make the larger the target is on your back! Trust me! You’re just a number for some bean counter!

Maybe they should contact out a real CEO that has compassion and empathy. This story is a cold, selfish, greedy s-b! He’s above you and has great vision! Vision of his wallet getting larger by the day as you bust you bu-t due to no employees or support! Classy indeed!

This company has NEVER valued its employees, if you’re not on the board of shareholders, then you are just a number to them, and they treat the employees like they are a liability. They will try and replace you with a contractor/outsourcing or artificial intelligence.
