Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Starting out in Grand Prairie

Just finished up my first job. Gulp.
Have to finish my Friday Fifth right after my first 1 hour break at Grandy's.
Gulp Gulp.
Cheerio, Drinkin', driving, breaking, thinking about working, lazing, getting pay(ing)ed.
Sober now but not for long. Life of a Grand Prairie Outside Technician with a clueless boss.
If I get caught, I don't care - I'll just retire in a flash. Let's go get breakfast Mr. Jack.

Note to anybody who views this post:
"3qwp,
Sure. I may be a d-mb IR tech, but I'm not stupid. Just dont care anymore.
I drink on the job. DRINK DRINK DRINK. Watch shows on my personal iphone, listen to music. Done by 9 or 10am every day. Enjoying life, getting paid $100k a year + overtime while the "executives" sc--w this dump up"

Pay close attention to the "getting paid $100k a year + overtime" part. It's really not that far from the truth. Group 1 craft techs (which is nearly all of them except for prem/wire techs) across the enterprise reel in a minimum of 80-85k (It's several thousand higher than that in CA and some OOR areas like up in the Northeast) a year base hourly wages. They simply cannot make less as they are guaranteed ever escalating contractual wages, regardless of actual work performance and skill (or care for that matter). Do we overpay management employees at T? That's debatable as HR maintains tight control on market salary ranges for management employees, but I can promise you 100% that we absolutely have the highest occupational employee labor cost (and not by a small margin) of any domestic communications provider, hands down. And what do we get for these absurd labor costs? Well, take a good look at this post overall and you be the judge.

2kbc,
I work my 8 hour load in 2 hours or about. Why pick up more work when management set the pricing and loading tables wrong? I do what they load out. If management is so stupid that they set the tables wrong ain't my problem and you know what? There are thousands of us doing the same thing.
Some 5th levels d-mb daughter got hired on that set the work tables and she didn't have a clue what she was doing. T is getting what they ask for - I look like a hero cause I get the work completed. Then I shop, drive, sit, listen to music, write my door poetry and DRINK. DRINK, DRINK the rest of the day.

Finally, I've never been asked what I do by a boss. In fact, my boss is never around as in He/She kisses Ar-e all day in make meetings brown nosing or playing golf all day or doing same as us,
drinking margaritas and shopping for shoes.

Cheers. Can't wait to "Go to Work".

OP: What do you tell your boss when he asks "What have you been working on?" Or "What have you accomplished this week?"

Cr-p, trucker... I&R here, starting the day w/ 1 hr meeting & training, then worked the p-t tkt in Forney. Cx asked for my name for it has been awhile that her phone sounds clear now, taking lunch, and finished up those training courses, pickup a msg report, then a helper, threw up the ladder on a busy hwy to cut a tap... got home and drinking my beer. I've earned my money.

This g$ffball has nothing to do with his time now that he’s no longer employed at ATT…just another attempt to smear T and all employees reputation. He’s more likely sitting in his double wide sipping Mountain Dew. Just go away, Dude.
