What usually happens with companies that were acquired by UHG? Are layoffs imminent? Anyone can share their experience

@1asfn+1bgn1YJi - Non ethical is dancing at work. Come on. There is nothing unethical, just excuses to do what you want. The ethic finger should be pointed back at you.
Most likely depending on what the team function is. I’ve been there for over 15 years now. At least twice a year there are layoffs. If you’re salaried plan to work 50 hours per week minimum. Never a raise even equivalent to COLA.
They crush your will to live and then retain the assets they wish. The remainder are cast off.
I was the manager of an acquisition. We did not lay anyone off. We did have to performance and attendance out people who didn't have ethics. By that I mean like 70 tardies in a year.... dancing at work... things like that. they had to go
Yes, layoffs will begin immediately, and then they will become larger and more often. I was with a company in New Orleans that was acquired by UHC. Before they announced the acquisition, my company had 2 layoffs. Then it was announced that UHC had acquired us. Within 1.5 yrs my entire department was gone...all 14 of us. And I've heard more departments have been hit hard, too.
It took our department about a year to be hit with layoffs.
The entire landscape of the job changed and Optum implemented unattainable goals and units of measurements. Our bonuses, schedule flexibility, and other various incentives of job performance we’re all stripped.
Moral went downhill fast.
Everything went down hill, fast. Best of luck to you. I used to love my job and felt privileged to have a good job but the Optum Acquisition was by far the worst thing to ever happen in my professional career. I can not wait to jump ship.
Yes, layoffs imminent. Read through threads here over time.
