Now that June the 10th and 11th have came and went, please give us another hunch to look forward too
I am still hopeful that FL / REN 4 PHS employees will get this random meeting sometime this week. Now that I heard from a friend who works at Wellcare, that North Carolina headquarters will start operating in July instead of September gives me hope that we will be on the fast track to getting laid off. I am done with Centene and just want my severance package.
So sorry to hear about the GA / Peachcare layoffs especially since the Q&A from a couple of weeks ago said no new layoffs, that everyone effected had already been notified.
Such BS, why put that out there then a couple of weeks later do the opposite.
They are DEFINATELY not done laying off for 2021.

I’m out. So are many of my colleagues. Most of our meetings were yesterday.
This happened this week at a Peach State Health Plan in Georgia. They laid off most of the WellCare people and kept their own team members even though most of the WellCare associates had way more experience. People got random meetings late at night on their calendar for the next day. Most are relived to be translation out of the unprofessional environment.
As part of the last layoff my Zoom call was on a Wednesday, but I know others that were told that Thursday or Friday. The days they do this are not always end of week. I don't think any additional layoffs will happen until they complete the Magellan merger. Then, they will have something to blame it on; overlap, etc. Last time they blamed it on 2020 profit which was a crock. They made more money in 2020 than ever before, but they always need a theme for each layoff. This year's will be Magellan.
The VPs are the ones who need to go; what is their value?
I am still hoping a zoom meeting invite email came after I was done with my work today. Hopefully I get a surprise and get it Friday morning. I am overworked and underpaid and just want my severance package.
It could very well be a deliberate pause to throw people off.
Well that was a bust. Maybe tomorrow or next week? I’m sure it’s coming. Usually done just before a weekend.
I wish I could be like many of you, but if I am RIF I will cry and cr-p my pants. I still like my job and my team. It is sad to see how being bought by Centene has really thrown everything into a tailspin.

They have to wait for the official go ahead from HR. The lists are already created. VPs know exactly who will be leaving.
They will have spent the last week or so confirming, ever so randomly, if you have any time off planned. They’re watching your calendars. Making sure you aren’t sick…. It’s all a set up.
I got no invite this morning. This stinks. Perhaps there is hope I may get one later today for either today or tomorrow. Please let it be me.
I hope Centene gets rid of me tomorrow or Friday. It will be tears… however it will be tears of joy. Pray with me that they put me out of my misery.
Keep in mind that HR keeps tabs on this forum. They may move dates around deliberately.
Don’t be complacent, but you really can’t avoid it if going to happen. Sign nothing right away. Save your work. Share your contact info with coworkers. Come back here with updates.
They may ask you to sign off immediately or stick around. Really depends.
I am praying that tonight they send me a random meeting for tomorrow or Friday. I want to be rid of this misery.
Hopefully I get laid off. I am tired of the workload and all the changes that make working here harder. Just today I got another change in my work process that will make my day that much harder.

They still haven’t reached the 3000 people laid off number since they made the announcement back in Feb/March. I’m sure they are doing it little by little each quarter until the end of the year.
What about the Q&A that came out about 2 weeks ago in which they said no new planned layoffs, all impacted people have already been notified.
Not that any of us were completely buying it.

I was in a lay off last year. My manager scheduled a touch base about a project, or so I thought. When I got on the call, I immediately saw my manager’s boss and the HR person on video. And, I knew.
Post ID: @1amp+1bemmZ3B I was laid off in March. The meeting was only with the Director in the invite. Then my Manager and an HR person showed up to the ZOOM meeting that were not on the invitation. I guess not to tip you off that something is about to happen.
Overworked and underpaid. You nailed it. Just remember there are others who are gaming the system and are underworked and getting "easy" money.
I received a zoom meeting invite from manager. But would HR also appear on the invite or just show up to the meeting? My meeting is tomorrow. Now I am curious.

Perhaps Florida, CMS Audit is currently in the REN 4 Tampa building this whole week.
What states? .. we know Ohio ppl will be on the unemployment line by end of year.. so I’m suspecting this will be Ohio . Not one manager or supervisor will tell us the truth, they think us all id--ts.. sad really. While MFN sits on his millions we’ll be scrapping pennies to pay our bills .
