Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

This place has gotten worse every year

Theres a top 200 business group that discuss how they’ll approach business in the coming years. Target, Costco, and all the others said their approach will be towards employees are first then customers because happy employees will take care of their customers. Walmart was the only one to snub the approach. Why they have the worst employee satisfaction out of them all. Every year it gets worse. They got rid of HR a few years ago and that was the biggest turning point. Do not come to Sams!

Perfectly stated, OP is @2sjg+1bbsybV6.

The other companies just have better PR who are willing to say positive whatevers even if their approach is the same as all other companies.

Anyone who wants to survive in this day and age has to look towards tech and website/online penetration and downsizing the workforce.

Costco only hires part time for the most part and many of the new hires will have the designation of temporary or seasonal. What that means in 90 days chances are highly probable new hires will be terminated or for the few lucky ones they just get their hours cut. Take a walk around Costco or for that matter any retail between the hours of 3pm to 8pm and try to find a worker.

Even Amazon who is suppose to be one of those great companies to work for is tightening the reins and setting higher expectations.
