Does everyone in claims phone ring non stop? I have a difficult time working my claims and answering the phone. I am new.

It’s utter chaos . No staff due to layoffs so the ones who survived the ax are the real losers like us !
Basically answering phones, chats, IMs and emails will be your full time job.
Working claims is supposed to be your main job duty, but you will not have time for that during your normal work day. Essentially you will be performing your job on your own personal time after work and on weekends to keep up.
Welcome to Allstate, I’ll be your guide. I think you will find that you are going to have things beeping at you and alerting you from the minute you start until the minute you end. Plan on 10+ hours a day. Also, everyone else can take as long as they want to complete tasks, you must do everything NOW and will be reprimanded if you don’t. If you have any questions don’t ask, because ignoring those that need help is the norm. I would suggest looking up anything in a massive, convulsed “database” with no clear answer. Par for course in Allstate claims. Virtual calls+phone calls+instantmessags+email+teams chats+textmessages+teamscalls. All expected to be done while you work your claims!
Yup gotta keep answering calls and working longer hours ! Layoffs caused this mess . Angry customers and shops across the country. Agents even call mad af
It's non stop in Property claims.
We are getting 20 - 40 calls a day including Fnols. It really exploded at the first of the year. They have been telling us for 6 months they are working on the problem but the Voice Team can't figure it out.
Plus, they make us stay logged in for meetings and lunch without raising our Aux %. They refuse to acknowledge all the calls we take & only harp on us about the reason we are missing the %. Then they say "Don't let the phones manage you." WHAT???
It's a blatant attempt at demoralizing the grunts to make us quit or so they can fire us. Everyone in my unit is pulling their hair out & our manager blissfully keeps raising their hand for more work. It's truly too insane not to be on purpose.
Morale is below zero. Wish they would bring the hammer down and move this cluster fudge to India.
Are others having the same issue or is my group on Fantasy Island?
