How can the Hometowns stay in business, let alone go forward when Sears has no merchandise for them to sell?

Nothing is going forward? Not even the new Sears Hometowns they opened recently?

There are no go forward stores. Period. They will all be a distant memory.

20 Kmarts only? Your opinion counts, just like the opinion of 21. In summary, the count is 20 or 21 depending on which way you lean.

21 Kmarts remain. Hope the Brooklyn Kmart sticks around for a while.

I propose moving on from Chicago Ridge to perhaps Orland Park or Ford City, if one needs to keep it SW side or suburbs of Chicago. Drop in Western Avenue too. Maybe Oak Lawn if you are looking at "B" stores from the 70's.

@2wco+1bcLLDdL - It's more like they right sized the rowboat.

Perhaps they finally "right sized" the ship they had been trying to do for years.

To the poster who said "when we do our next store fleet review". Like there's even enough stores to call them a "fleet". LOL!!!!

"Review" = which stores will close next.

@1jec+1bcLLDdL Agreed, with Sears and Kmart there are only a few dozen stores left between both brands. At this point when the remaining stores close, it is going to be more of a whimper than a bang.

I think store opening announcements are on the horizon. We are long overdue for a new Kmart! Time to make the epic comeback!

Wouldn’t a “blood bath” infer that there are enough stores left to fill a bath with blood? Even if they all close it’ll be more like a blood “puddle”. Move on to the JCP board or Wells Fargo board for entertainment people, much more interesting.

These are the go forward stores that are left.

Only thing is for certain, any next around announced is going to be a blood bath

Wait until July for what? No one said a list was coming out or stores are closing in July.
Stop trying to stir the hornets nest. No one is interested.

Waiting until July is not required. Feel free to resume living your life as you are able and see fit.

I currently work for Transformco out of HE. We dont anticipate having any closings until we do our next store fleet review at the end of June. No announcements will be made until the beginning of July at the earliest if at all.
