It looks like they may be closing the office. Does anyone know?

If they are offshoring more, selling parts of business and if WFH is productive (costs) to DXC then it is right in DXC to cut down on office space - provided that they won't need the same space in the future.
With more people working from home - especially foot soldiers should be less need for middle managers within the company - what exactly do they do that is productive and makes a difference - little or none.
One of the drags on DXC is ineffectual and out of date processes along with multiple layers of management - especially in UK. Tackle this and get rid of this inefficiency - company has chance to recover more and to improve it's brand.
A tried and tested way is to get middle level of management to reapply for their role every 2-4 years with clear 360 degree feedback and get rid of under performing managers.
They are also offshoring more roles. There are some supply chain colleagues who exited the business last week and their roles have been advertised in Romania.
Already happened in Telford. All accounts have been moved to Erskine which isn’t ready yet. All people in Telford have been made redundant with minimal compensation.
I am a manager for DXC in the UK, I am not aware of any news of mass redundancies.
In a company this size there will always be pools of redundancies going on, as contracts are lost, changes in business sectors etc. This is different the wholesale slash and burn of the ML era.
There are definitely office closures going on, mostly due to the Virtual First initiative. For example the Chorley office in NW England is closing. I do think this is a mistake, whilst it's great to have the option to work from home, not everyone has dedicated workspace at home. The company also misses out on the collaborative benefits of having teams sat alongside each other.
That said my experience of DXC office in the NW of England was that they were terrible, so not great for collaboration!
Most offices in the western world will be closed down... Virtual first... Heard of it?
Layoffs not happening on a mass scale, stop with the scare mongering. Offices are being closed as its an opportunity to cut costs but label it as 'Virtual First'
If I hear Turps say one more time that DXC 'care about our people' and 'our people come first' I will go fkn mental
DXC Technology Appoints Steve Turpie to Lead UKIIMEA Region, then he'll be RIFF'ed as well ?
Closing the office and working from home, or closing down completely and RIFFing all the peoole?
Which office ?
