Got an offer, accepted it and FBI cleared. Start day is end of august. With all the things I am reading on this site, can WF rescind an offer? This makes me nervous if I should give notice to my current employer. Can someone comment on the probability of this happening? Or am I unduly worried for nothing

Working here is like stepping into a hot tub every morning, except for some of us, the tub was filled with lye overnight. Randomly. Welcome!
If you’re worried about the tale that your fingerprint will tell then you should be applying to the C-Suite positions.
FBI background check with fingerprint is Line-Of-Business specific. Home Lending requires for example and periodically will reverify. People who passed once and then failed later were terminated. This is a big company where policies do vary, believe it or not.
Just spend a little extra time and interview with a better company. It will help your career in the long rub.
Wells is a very large, disjointed company right now. Decisions are made top-down- that is, hiring people come from certain 'pockets' but the permission to hire, fire, and relocate people are all made top-down. These decisions are extremely impersonal which results in no caring of how it affects the actual people. This is somewhat typical of a large company but it is the worst in Wells. The point is, they won't care at all how any decisions affect you or your family. While only a few that I know of, they have done things like force people to sell their house and move away from family and support, then a few months later, lay the person off. They were then stuck in an area with no support system, trying to sell their house and move back. I personally will never move for Wells Fargo because of their completely impersonal decision-making.
@1ktu I went through typical background checks, but I was never fingerprinted nor was there an FBI background check. That is not typical at all.
Trust us, who work here... if they do, it'll be the best thing to ever happen to you.. a blessing in disguise.
@1glq+1bZpus8P Anyone who works here has gone through this, it’s why they fingerprint you. Standard for all financial services firms, no big deal.
Baby don’t go to Wells Fargo
Unless there are two things: 1) you are ok with the thought of contract work - meaning job security isn’t a thing.
2) you are fine with less than market benefits.
Yes WF is at will it can be pulled at any time just like you can be fired without cause..
Why the he-l is the FBI clearance needed?
Dude, wherever you are it cannot be bad enough to want to come to complete chaos.
It’s your choice, but the morale is pretty bad. Most people have no idea if they’re going to lose their job or not. Certain areas are protected, but once progress is made on the consent orders, they’ll cut them too. They don’t care about employees, only shareholders.
Highly unlikely. Don't take the sample of people posting on this board as being representative. Its a excellent place to work.
Come on in...the water's fine.
You are a freaking fool.
Why oh why do you want to come here? Have you not read the posts on here? Scroll down this board.
FBI clearance?
