Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

Loyalty gone

I wonder how much money and hours of lost productivity happened due to the 550 let go last September. I was one of those let go. I have stayed in touch with a half dozen in IT and they tell me so many horror stories. So many missed deadlines and production issues. Even though Vin put a hold and did a big review on projects those that were allowed to go forward did so in sputters. The knowledge lost that day cannot be easily replaced. Paul deservers all the honors.

there is no more empowerment at RJ anymore. Remember the story of how many people it takes to change a lightbulb...how many RJ IT employees does it take to logon..

I was one of those 7 days a week people and I didn't mind. I was involved in so many key IT projects but it didn't matter I was just to old and cranky. I always was honest and spoke my mind. Guess that was my undoing. Now nobody says anything. They just want to collect a paycheck.

Loyalty was working nights and weekends, loyalty was checking systems and emails even when not "officially" working, loyalty was helping others less knowledgeable than you understand systems and situations. Then loyalty gets you let go after 15 years. Remember that loyal Raymond James employees.
