Regarding the plebeian pay raise of 3.2%, it could be worse. Been at Anthem over 11 years, very hard worker and contributor, get excellent peer review comments and the upper level of the 'average' performance ranking that most plebeians get, and still the largest raise over the years has been only 2.00%. Not sure if gender is playing into it or not.
CEO compensation has grown 940% since 1978. Typical worker compensation has risen only 12% during that time.
CEO pay does not reflect rising skills, but rather there use of their power to set their own pay.
$5 gift cards will be the norm, because of the power imbalance. This imbalance will continue as cheaper labor continues enable the power difference and pay. Th $5 gift card is a reality check, until taxes and laws are put in place to correct the imbalance and make decisions not so personally profit then 940% will continue to grow.
I think billions is a bit of an overstatement. That being said, according to this link her overall compensation when up 11% last year, totaling 17 million..

Putting that in perspective, my plebeian pay raise was 3.2%.. and I sure as heck wasn't making 15.5 Million last year! Regardless, must be real nice to S*%t on the people doing all the real work

And the $5 gift card was probably counted as income so you paid income taxes on that $5 too. Check your pay stubs. That has been my experience.
