Yep on the CLEC side I identified several large sites that the only thing left were the cross connects from the ILEC. Everything had been cleared out but we couldn't get the team responsible to issue orders to remove the xconnects.
I imagine those orders are flowing now and we are shutting it all down.
years??? I just did an physical audit of what services are running in my TDM cages. I have entire sites with only a couple T1s, a couple T3's and zero DSL...it would take a matter of minutes to turn this site down
Sales went after the TDM customers trying to convert them to UCaaS. Not all of those customers need/want a different service.
Turning down all of those COLOs will take years. I'm not sure we still have the manpower and skill sets retained. My former team keeps hemorrhaging employees.
Yeah. Honestly, I'm skeptical of the synergies too. It seems like these same groups get passed back and forth every few years only to get passed back after a time.
Not sure if I'd call that a shake up.
Regurgitate the same "CLEC TDM exit" mantra we've been hearing from TT for years.
Move some folks under a different organization. Big deal. It's a reorganization to maximize synergies, or whatever college terms you want to use. It's a business expense. We can deduct all of the re-org costs.
