Has anyone heard about a reorg this week?

What a time.. what a group.. what a company..
Get promoted? Make your number YOY? Pearson doesn’t want to pay top talent so you eventually get laid off or you decide to leave on your own.
The last post with so spot on. SPOT. ON.
And the management are too d-mb to see it under their own nose.
Some of the dust has settled, those displaced are now trying to "reapply" for a small number of positions, deck chairs are once again being reshuffled on the Titanic. Talented, higher earning teams are being let go and the loss of good people continue. Can't wait to get back to campus, T&E my coffee, lunch, working dinner all while in SF updating tracking. What a job.
Let's take the most talented group of salespeople with years of experience and relationships and fire them and let's keep hiring back old reps who were fired in the past or brand new guinea pigs who will have no idea how to deal with this business model. Wake up. no one wants you on campus. no one needs your t&e lunch. teachers just want good products and support so if you're still one of those reps you can't figure out the grade book functionality Please step aside to some of us would still like to have jobs.
Was Pearson d-mb enough to mail out the pre NSM gift boxes to the DSS & PSS team that told them they were such an important piece of Pearson only to fire them all 1 week later….?
THIS is why most people see Pearson and it’s North America leaders as 10000000% disingenuous.

Your reply only makes sense if the same train of thought applied elsewhere — which it does not.
How does DG still have a job? Why does every aging female with a 6 figure salary get a new role with the useless student campus ambassador program rather than the pink slip like lower ranking roles? What in the actual *^%! do the Regional Sales VPs do other than complain about tracking and then wonder why sales continue to decline?
It’s terrible management, top to bottom. I hope I can move into a role that eventually gets canned so that I can take a severance package and leave this dumpster fire.
What about recruitment and marketing
PSS & DSS teams.
They're a redundant layer of sales reps. With everyone moving inside -only traveling for "big" deals- there's not any additional need outside of the DM to join a virtual sales call. DM can work with, and has been working with multiple reps a day for coaching and the DSS are the same version of that process.
WFH policy has accelerated what everyone already knew, no prof really wants to have us on campus unless there's some major problem, multiple reps on campus was not sustainable, slimmed down bookbag, generalist, now only focused on IA, why do we need all these layers of people. The Birdie understands, tweet tweet.
Announcement today.
PSS & DSS teams are let go in their entirety.
Streamlined product coverage.
New inside sales team.
More ways to cover up terrible management. But, hey — perhaps our new(ish) CEO will put on a DJ session to help soften the blow to all of those who are now jobless.
Heard the same thing. Re-org definitely coming in the near term. I heard that there’s going to be a lot of changes in marketing and recruiting.
I did but thought maybe it was just the formalization of what they announced a few months ago. Not sure. Anyone heard anything concrete about who is affected, etc?
