He died about 50 yrs ago. Are you referring to IBM Watson? That died as well about 10 yrs ago.
Watson Analytics, one of many failures, had absolutely nothing to do with Watson.
@ilo+1bU3Gcma - yes and no. If you look at Cloud Pak for Data, you'll see about a dozen of its services are "Watson ~"
At the start of the failure, they renamed everything to "Watson".
Then, about a year or two later when the fiasco was obvious, they removed "Watson" from the names.
Current naming fad is "Hybrid Cloud" and "Cloud Pak for xyz". Just a few "Watson" labels remain.
Years ago I told a colleague: Here's how you'll know that Watson is failing. They'll start putting the Watson brand on absolutely anything related in any way to data analysis so that they can pretend the revenues are good.
When I was an IBMer a few years ago, our salaries seldom get increased.
One day my manager called me, told me that Watson analyzed my salary base on my experience and education, and decided my salary was below market rate.
So I got about two thousand dollars raise because of Watson.
More like including "Watson" in every product's name. But yeah it'll still be a disaster.
