Maybe employees were axed for a different reason that Warner acquisition? It's just difficult to admit that.
Stock has to fall at spinout time. Simple example with fake numbers - If ATT Stock is $30 and they price discovery stock at $8, aftr spinoff you will have 1 ATT stock at $22 and 1 Discovery stock at $8. No free money here.
Stock will fall below $24. Randall will cash in his 2 million shares in a few years to reap a windfall before the dividend cut!!
"First, it overpays for WarnerMedia forcing thousands of employees to be axed. Then it comes up with a supposed face-saving spinoff that takes away half of the shareholders’ beloved dividend. Lastly, it tries to sell shareholders on the fact they get two valuable stocks worth considerably more than $28.
That’s pure poppycock, and owners of T stock know it."
Employees know it too.
I read that SA article this morning. Very good analysis and conclusion
Workers getting paid and so ungrateful. Whine too much.
Anyone on this board that can even remotely defend C-Suite decisions over the last several years is clearly a upper management shill attempting to run interference when anyone casts doubt on their ineptitude
Truth hurts!
Keep on whining. It'll make you feel something, if not better.
Hey man give him a shot. He didn’t mean it.
