Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Gross. Also, why was the Maverick so secret?

The Maverick is just a hybrid Sport Track. It’s nothing earth shattering. When the Tesla Cybertruck comes out, no one will want a Ford truck. Also, gross about the food and cookies. Just a cheap copy of what Google has been doing for years.

It's named in honor of the late Sen. John McCann.

My family owned a Maverick in the 1970s, it was a piece of junk, and I cannot imagine why Ford thinks it is a good idea to bring this name back.

Phoebe Wall Howard's articles are just beyond embarrassing. Her writing makes her sound like she's in junior high school writing about her crush.

I'm sure it was a lot of fun dealing with all those sugared up trubelievers trying to look cool for the bosses

Also, why is the article bragging that the team had to work from 7 AM to 8 PM because management compressed the timeline for this ridiculous recycled vehicle since they have no creativity. I feel so sorry for everyone who worked on this. I think 8 hours a day of working hard and smart is what is needed. People have kids and families. Ford wonders why all the top talent goes elsewhere.

No wonder there are so many problems with Ford vehicles- the team all have brain fog from eating junk all day. Zero nutrition, it is almost as though Ford is intentionally poisoning its employees. Anyone with half a brain knows that people should not be eating all that crxp, it has both short term and long term health impacts.

The ole Ford secret room. I remember back in early 2000s Ford had created rooms with “caricatures” of its customers. The one I remember vividly was the F150 customer who they had depicted as basically an uneducated Texan. As new hires we were given tours and the presenters eagerly described their customers. Being born and raised on a Texas ranch, I was both horrified at how arrogant and ignorant the presenter was, and rather offended at their superiority complex. I said nothing and knew at that point the company’s Achilles heal was their arrogance and lack of customer understanding. The Ford team was Big Hat No Cattle.
